  25. The paging file is being accessed excessively and unnecessarily. In
  26. Performance Monitor it seems as if the paging file is being accessed
  27. constantly. Your hard drive is always making noise.

  29. CAUSE

  32. LargeSystemCache is activated (set to 1). Check the following subkey
  33. in Registry Editor:

  35.    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\
  36.    Session Manager\Memory Management
  37.  
  38. LargeSystemCache specifies, for a non-zero value, that the system
  39. favor the system-cache working set rather than the processes working
  40. set.

  45. Change the value of LargeSystemCache to 0.
